Eagles for Children

Every day, people hit the golf course and achieve great scores and there’s a way for golfers to make a different with their scores with the help of Eagles for Children. This organization works to help disadvantaged children by fundraising through golf.
If you’d like to learn more about how this organization helps children in need every day, just keep on reading our guide today!
What Does Eagles for Children Do?
This organization began in 2010 when co-founder Hal Zaima watched a PGA Golf Tournament that was hosted to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The PGA offered to donate $1,000 for every eagle scored and it was there that Mr. Zaima got the idea for Eagles for Children.
Hal got in touch with his friend Don Kegley to find a way they could organize a similar charity. They decided they could fundraise donations through golf clubs by organizing a program where golf club members donated one to two dollars for every eagle scored at the club.
Today, the donations provided by this organization have gone a long way towards helping disadvantaged children. Members of golf clubs working with Eagles for Children simply pledge a donation amount for every eagle they score and 100% of the proceeds go to organizations working to help children in need.
