The base-level LX trim sets the standard for the Kia Optima. It includes a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that's mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine allows the vehicle to produce 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque.
The interior is outfitted with Cloth Seat Trim with CleanTex™. The dashboard includes the 8-inch UVO touchscreen. The screen includes features like Bluetooth®, as well as Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™. The base trim also includes advanced safety features like Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Collision-Avoidance Assistance, and more!
The second Optima trim is the S. This includes the same 4-cylinder engine as the previous trim, but there are a few additions inside the cabin to be aware of. The interior is outfitted with Sport Black Cloth Seat Trim with Leatherette Bolsters. This trim also updates the infotainment by including the UVO Link 8-inch touchscreen display with SiriusXM® Satellite Radio (available as a 3-month trial subscription). The interior also adds the Smart Key with Push-Button Start and Immobilizer.
The EX trim is the first Kia Optima trim to include a new engine. This trim comes equipped with the 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbocharger that can deliver 178 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. This trim even includes the 7-speed Dual-Clutch transmission.
This trim updates the interior styling with leather-trimmed seats that are heated in the front row. The EX trim carries over the same 8-inch UVO touchscreen as the previous trim, but offers drivers the option of upgrading to the voice-command navigation system.
The SX trim is the last in the Kia Optima lineup. It includes an updated engine, the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharger. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and can produce 245 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
The interior is outfitted with the Sport Leather trim, with drivers having the option of swapping it out for the Quilted Nappa Leather trim. The cabin also includes the UVO Link with 8-inch touchscreen display, Voice-Command Navigation System, SiriusXM® Traffic, and HD Radio™.
