The Americana Foundation was founded was established by this couple as a way to preserve their cherished items as well as their 160-acre historic farmstead, Tollgate Farm. The foundation was designed to help educate generations to come ad create funds that can be used to preserve America’s heritage.
The American Heritage Program: This grant program is designed to help others follow in the footsteps of Ginger and Adolf. Grants are provided to those seeking to preserve or acquire authentic early American furniture with the purpose of placing them in a charitable or educational institution.
Agriculture and Natural Resources: Producing food is necessary for survival, and Adolf Meyer made it his personal mission to spread the word. Today, this resource program provides grants to education and advocacy programs to help educate Michigan residents about the importance of agriculture and natural resources in our society.
Tollgate Farm: Here, you’ll find an array of educational programs about the importance of American agriculture where residents of all ages can cultivate a better understanding of the role agriculture plays in our society while getting their hands dirty.
Where the Americana Foundation Began
Ginger and Adolf H. Meyer had many personal interests, many of which they shared.
